Blending cheerfulness and compassion in his teaching methods, Jai offers the new to advanced yoga practitioner both an energetic and relaxing yoga practice. Through yoga, meditation and visualizations, Jai provides you with the space to be guided into deep, rejuvenating experience.
Jai has completed extensive trainings with world renowned yoga masters throughout India and North America and is registered with the Yoga Alliance as an eRYT to facilitate teachers training in North America.
He has studied and completed teachers training with: Baron Baptiste of Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga , Swami Veda of The Himalayan Yoga Tradition . and Dr. David Frawley of the American Institute of Vedic Studies. Jai has also trained with Sri Dharma Mittras, Ana Forrest and Shiva Rea. He is also certified to teach kid’s yoga.
He has been initiated into the Himalayan Yoga & Meditation Tradition where he has been authorized to teach this ancient art including pranayama (breathing techniques), mudras and kriyas (different yoga, healing and cleansing techniques). Jai currently teaches at Lotus Soul Gym – 2 locations in Edmonton, AB, Canada where he facilitates yoga classes, workshops and retreats.
Jai is also an Ayurvedic practitioner and counselor who consults and advises clients on how to live a holistic and healthier lifestyle. He specializes in Ayurvedic diets and weight-loss integrating many different Ayurvedic healing modalities. He is currently available for private sessions and consultations in person or via Skype.

Aman Rai – Co-founder & Creator Of Yoga Matrix

Aman’s teaching focuses on mental clarity, strengthening, lengthening, energetic cleansing and balance. She allows each student to develop mind-body awareness through the integration of functional and correct alignment. She encourages each student to feel sensations and tune into the flow of prana (energy) moving through their body and energy centers.
Aman completed her 200-hour yoga alliance teachers training with Myra Lewin of Hale Pule Ayurveda & Yoga. She also spent additional training and specializing in energy work, pranayama (yoga breathing techniques), yoga asana and Ayurveda (a holistic healing science form ancient India including nutritional guidance, yoga therapy and special rejuvenation and purification therapies).
“Balance is the desired outcome of my practice and those of my students. Balance is the key to optimal physical health, clarity of mind, and energy for peace, happiness and equanimity. Yoga also involves the inclusion of silence and stillness in one’s practice to achieve the desired balance for perfect health”.

Yoga Matrix Class Description
Beginner Yoga
This class is perfect for those with little or no background in yoga. Physical postures (asana), breathing exercises (pranayama), relaxation techniques and simple meditation are all taught at a slow and easy to understand pace. Benefits of this class include the development of strength, flexibility, balance and learning to calm the mind.
Gentle Yoga
This class blends Hatha Yoga (stretching), Pranayama (breathing exercises), relaxation , visualizations and meditation techniques to restore, refresh and rejuvenate. Everyone is encouraged to work at their own pace. The class begins with standing and balancing poses to align the body and focus the mind followed by sitting and reclining postures to open specific areas of the body, lengthen certain muscles and massage internal organs.
Those with health concerns are encouraged to come to class and if needed will be given modifications for the postures to help improve your overall health. This class is great for those who want to become more relaxed, centered and inspired.0020
Hatha Flow Yoga
This class includes a combination of sun-salutations to stimulate the flow of prana (energy) and traditional yoga postures for strengthening, lengthening and balance. Emphasis is on breath, alignment, and meditation in movement to facilitate both an invigorating and relaxing practice. This class is appropriate for all levels.
We also teach Private Yoga Classes & Sessions in Edmonton Alberta – Taught in the Himalayan Yoga Tradition and the Ayurveda & Yoga tradition authorized by Myra Lewin
